Divorce

Divorce, also known as a Dissolution of Marriage, is the process by which a husband and wife dissolve their marital relationship, divide property and debt from the marriage, and make appropriate arrangements regarding children and support of the family. The state of Arizona requires only one legal ground to dissolve a marriage, that the marriage is “Irretrievably Broken.” Arizona Courts will not consider the fault of a party with relation to dissolving a marriage. Arizona is a community property state which in essence results in an approximately equal division of all property obtained and debt incurred during a parties marriage. Arizona permits parties to complete the Dissolution of Marriage process through a Consent Decree or written agreement in which no trial or appearance before a judge will be necessary.
